Official Class Rules For The Centerville Fire Department Car Show

 

 

All Original Classes:

All Original Classes will include vehicles as it appeared when new plus any accessories of the era and so-called “Promo Vehicles” must provide proof of existence. Items that are WEAR DATED and have been replaced such as tires, shocks, mufflers and battery DO NOT exclude an entry from this class. DUAL EXHAUST does not force an entry out of this class. Any other item that has been replaced due to wear is permissible as long as the owner has attempted to restore the item as close as possible to the original.  No custom wheels are allowed.

 

Street Classes:

The Street Class includes all vehicles with bolt-on aftermarket or dealer-installed parts and/or accessories. The body may have bolt-on spoilers, ground effects, fiberglass parts, etc. Any molding of these items moves the entry to Custom Class. Paint may be of any color from any OEM manufacturer. Aftermarket candy, pearl, metal flake paint entries will be moved to Custom. Painted pinstripes, and taped pinstripes or decals, and vinyl graphics are allowed. Judging supervisor will classify custom artwork. Other items that move an entry to Street Class include bolt-on headers, ignition wires, air cleaners, valve covers, continental kits, painted engine compartment, etc. Any molding of any type (including fire wall, inner fender, panels, etc.) will move the entry to Custom Class. Minor interior changes are allowed (seat inserts, minor trunk or truck bed modifications, and bolt-in seats with stock-type interior). No custom interiors allowed. There will be no limit on the amount of bright items on the engine or in the engine compartment.

 

Mustangs, Cameros & Firebirds, and Corvettes:

Any Mustang will go in the Mustang class, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Any Camero or Firebird will go in the Cameros & Firebirds class, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Any Corvette will go in the Corvette class, NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

Convertibles:

All Convertibles will go in the Convertible class unless it is a Mustang, Camero, Firebird, or Corvette, then it will go in its associated class.

 

 

Pickup Original:

Any 2WD pickup following the rules for original vehicles.

 

Pickup Modified:

Any 2WD pickup with the following items will automatically put your vehicle in the Custom Class: bodywork that involves a redesign of the original body lines, including but not limited to nosing, chopping, channeling, sectioning, changing radius of wheel wells, molding, tunneling, etc. Paint that is of custom design such as painted Graphics, shading, blending, candy, pearl, neon, or murals. Engine relocation and/or custom fabricated engine mounts and/or a different engine than was available with any given entry (for example, a big block in ’57 Chevy) and/or a smoothed out engine block. Any aftermarket, non stock OEM, multiple carb set-ups, tunnel rams, blowers, turbo chargers and/or late model tuned port-type fuel injection on any other era vehicle. Interiors that are of a custom design that consists of changes to three or more of the following: seats, door panels, dash modifications, flooring, headliner, trunk, or truck bed area.

 

4WD & SUV:

Any 4WD vehicle or SUV.

 

Visibly Unfinished:

Any vehicle that is visibly unfinished.

 

Custom:
